Friends: The Movie?

Cast members: Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer ready to reprise roles for a big-screen adaptation?
Think this is a good idea? The UK Daily Mail is reporting, the cast of Friends is ready to jump to the big screen under the right circumstances, thanks to the success of the Sex and the City movie. I knew nothing good could ever come of that movie (joking)! The Sex And The City film, is headed for a global box office total of well over $300 million.
Warner Bros is now mining its recent library of TV hits for other projects ready for the movie treatment and ‘Friends’ is at the top of the list of properties. An insider thinks the movie can come together within the next 18 months. The cast has apparently been ready for a while, but Jenny Aniston was the one who wasn’t so sure about a movie. A source says:
“As the biggest star of the Friends franchise, Jennifer can’t help but look at what’s happened with Sarah Jessica Parker and the Sex And The City film and be a little jealous. What’s held back a Friends movie so far is that people were worried that Jennifer had simply become too famous to play Rachel again.”
Well the “big star” has supposedly come down to earth now and is willing but the entire cast will have to be satisfied with the money, timing and a still unwritten script. But when there is almost certain money to be made in Hollywood things have a way of getting done fast, so stay tuned.
