Nicollette Sheridan is returning for 5th season of ‘Desperate Housewives’

Nicollette Sheridan is set to return to hit TV show Desperate Housewives after seemingly being written out of the show at the end of the fourth series.
The actress was seen suddenly packed her bags and rode her convertible off into the sunset without a word about if she would (or would not) ever return at the second from the last show of the fourth season.

But word now is Sheridan is set to reappear on Wisteria Lane in the forthcoming season after being asked to reprise her role as  blonde temptress Edie Britt in the series.  How can this be?  Rumor is that Desperate Housewives will adopt a “flash-forward” Lost-like narrative device. And it has been revealed that Sheridan’s character, who is notoriously unlucky in love, will be getting a new romantic interest, to be played by new cast member Neal McDonough.
