John Mayer called Minka Kelly to tell of romance with Jennifer Aniston

If you’re following this stuff you know that John Mayer was dating Minka Kelly before he met the love of his life (this month), Jennifer Aniston.
Page Six reports that John actually called up Minka to let her know about his relationship with Aniston before it hit the tabloids. A source said, “Minka received a call from John prior to the story breaking about his relationship with Jennifer. He apologized to Minka, ‘Sorry, but I’m really in love.’ ” She found that interesting as, “during his relationship with her, John mentioned, ‘I don’t really get this Jennifer Aniston thing.’”
Apparently Mayer ‘does get Aniston now’ and had this to say about their relationship:
“All I can tell you is that I have made every decision in my life with complete authenticity,” says the singer-songwriter when asked about his relationship with the actress. “My feet are firmly on the ground. If you do things from the heart, it feels awesome.”
John also reveals that he’s annoyed that the papparazi aren’t helping him advance his ‘music man’ image.
“I don’t have a problem with my privacy as much as I have a problem with people messing with my message,” John tells USA Today. “If you’re going to take pictures of me doing mundane stuff, will you at least take pictures of me playing guitar?”
Mayer has hinted at an early retirement from the music industry after completing his summer (08) tour. He is currently in the middle of his European jaunt, but has indicated that he may never release another album again.
Though 30 he says, “I’m not sure when I’ll come back with another record. I feel like I’ve done everything I can do with this set of tools.” Mayer’s last release, The Village Session EP, hit stores in December 2006.

John Mayer will not retire from recording. He loves fame too much. But it does show another side of him that he called Minka before the Aniston news broke.
I appreciate John’s decision. He followed his heart than head, so, I wish this “newer” pair all the luck. Minka is a strong lady and as far as John is concerned she might be missing him till she finds her true love. Its great she took things in her stride.
