Sheryl Crow admits that her battle against breast cancer made her a better person – because it allowed her to express her emotions.
Crow admits the disease changed her in many ways – including what she ate and how she dealt with her feelings.
The All I Wanna Do singer-songwriter revealed that she always tried to put on a brave face – but cancer made her realize she could open up and express her feelings.
She says, “If I was angry or sad, I let myself cry. I spent days crying. I allowed myself to open up. I used to think people only loved me when I was achieving, and I began to understand that the real people – my close friends and family – loved me whatever.”

Crow has previously admitted that her brush with cancer helped push her into adopting her first child right after she finished her treatment.
