The U.S. Attorney’s office has reportedly filed a motion demanding that Wesley Snipes surrender himself to police custody.

They are appealing a U.S. district judge’s decision to let the actor out on bail while he appeals his tax charges. The district judge felt Wesley was not a flight risk, but that doesn’t seem to be good enough for the feds.

“We want him in custody,” said Steve Cole, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office. “He’s been convicted by a jury. He has been sentenced to three years and he should be in custody.”

Snipes was found guilty and sentenced to three years in jail for not paying his taxes for several years.

He still owes 3 million dollars in back taxes! And on top of that the U.S. government, recently sent Snipers a $200,000 legal bill seeking to recoup the cost of convicting him on tax evasion charges.
