Joan Rivers stuns TV audiences in Britain with foul language
Joan Rivers stunned TV audiences in Britain on Tuesday and promptly got thrown off of the UK talk show “Loose Women” (a kind of British version of The View) for using the f** word on air. Joan was talking about interviewing Russell Crowe on the red carpet and said, “He is a piece of – get ready to bleep this. F**ing sh*t!” Well, the show was live and there was no delay! The co-hosts immediately apologized for Rivers’ little outburst and Joan was asked to leave during commercial break.
A spokesperson for the show said: “Guests are always briefed that it is a live daytime show and are reminded not to swear or use inappropriate language. An editorial decision was taken that Joan Rivers should not appear in the final part of the program. We would like to apologize to Loose Women viewers for the inappropriate language used on today’s show.”
Joan has since apologized, “Yes, I swore, and I’m so f**ing sorry. No one told me the TV show Loose Women was a reality show and that I would be voted off. It’s funny: offstage, I hardly ever use profanity. My favorite four-letter word is ‘shop.‘”
Rivers, was on the show to promote her live show Joan Rivers: A Work in Progress By a Life in Progress, which will open the Edinburgh International Festival in August.
