Paul Newman cancer story seems to be confirmed

Stories like this give me no joy. So I am sorry to report that Paul Newman’s longtime neighbor and business partner confirmed on Wednesday that the screen legend is battling cancer.
Writer A.E. Hotchner, who partnered with Newman to start Newman’s Own salad dressing company, said the actor told him about the disease about 18 months ago.
Hotchner doesn’t say what kind of cancer the legendary actor has but said Newman is in active treatment. Hotchner told The Associated Press: “I know that it’s a form of cancer. It’s a form of cancer and he’s dealing with it.”
Two other friends said Tuesday that Newman appeared to be doing well especially recently. Hopefully Paul is responding well to treatment and we wish him a speedy recovery.
