Selena Gomez takes virginity vow
Disney teen star Selena Gomez who has been dubbed the new Miley Cyrus, has promised to remain celibate before marriage.
The 15-year-old actress joins the Jonas Brothers in going public with her plans to abstain from sex until marriage.
Gomez has revealed she told her father to buy her a `promise ring’ so she can make her virginity vow official:
“He went to the church and got it (ring) blessed. He actually used me as an example for other kids. I’m going to keep my promise to myself, to my family and to God.”
Selena is currently starring as Alex Russo on the Disney Channel Original Series, Wizards of Waverly Place. She also has a career as a singer, and has recorded two songs for Walt Disney Records and sang several songs while on Barney & Friends alongside with her Barney co-star Demi Lovato.
