Lindsay Lohan almost lost another movie role and the chance to restart her downward spiraling career. According to Rush and Molly, “Labor Pains” producer Rick Schwartz kept getting turned down by insurers.  Lohan has recently lost two movie roles that she previously landed! She was previously dropped from “Manson Girls,” (here) because Lohan has basically become a Hollywood Pariah, and the production company supposedly couldn’t find any noted actresses that wanted to work with her.

Then she was supposed to star alongside Jack Black in romantic comedy “Ye Old Times,” but lost the gig for “unexplained” reasons.

“[Schwartz] could only find one insurance company to cover her, and even then he really had to vouch for her.”

Lohan is still on probation for two DUI arrests last year, which makes getting film insurance difficult. Her continued high profile lifestyle maybe compounding the issue.

“Labor Pains” is potentially the sort of romantic comedy that could turn the talented 21-year-old beauty’s career around.

According to the screenplay, Lohan plays a young woman who pretends to be pregnant so she doesn’t get fired. She thrives on the attention she’s getting despite “carrying a volleyball around on her stomach.” We don’t want to be spoilers, but the script is hilarious.

The movie will be made whether or not there’s an actors strike, since the union gave Producer Rick Schwartz a waiver, Variety reported.

So far Lindsay has made a great impression on set for “Labor Pains,” which officially begins shooting Monday.  Says a co-producer:

“She comes to every meeting 15 minutes early, to the point where she has shown up a few times before we were ready for her. She is rehearsing every day with energy and focus. She is lovely to her co-stars and the crew.
