Guy Ritchie to film Sherlock Holme’s next case

Guy Ritchie has been chosen to direct Warner Bros. upcoming Sherlock Holmes new feature film, according to Variety. Executives at Warners are looking for Ritchie to help reinvent Holmes and sidekick Dr. John H. Watson. Ritchie will polish Tony Peckham‘s script, based on Lionel Wigram’s upcoming comicbook “Sherlock Holmes.” Wigram’s new Holmes will be more adventuresome and take advantage of his skills as a boxer and swordsman. The movie is scheduled to be released in 2010.
