Bryce Dallas Howard to star in “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins?

Charlotte Gainsbourg was originally set to play Kate Connor in “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins,”  but had to bow out at the last minute because of scheduling conflicts with another film.

Now it looks like Bryce Dallas Howard will step in to play Kate Connor, the wife of human resistance hero John Connor, played by Christian Bale.

Howard last starred as Gwen Stacy in “Spider-Man 3″ and next stars in the “The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond,” based on a long-forgotten screenplay by Tennessee Williams.

Production on “Terminator,” directed by McG, is already underway in New Mexico.
