GARBAGE frontwoman Shirley Manson lands tv role

Shirley Manson has landed a regular role on television series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the show was the highest-rated new scripted series of the 2007-2008 season.
The 41-year-old frontwoman for alternative band Garbage is set to play Catherine Weaver, the CEO of the high tech company Cyberdyne in the show, which is a spin-off of the hugely successful TERMINATOR movies starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. So it sounds like Shirley will get to sink her teeth into playing a villian.
Manson hasn’t hardly retired from music, with her debut solo album scheduled for release later this year and reports of a new GARBAGE album in the pipeline.
The singer’s forthcoming solo record has seen her collaborate with the likes of Jack White, Billy Corgan, Beck and James Bond soundtrack composer David Arnold.
