Kirsten Dunst rehab stay was for “Depression”?

Posted on May 27th, 2008 by Hot Momma

Kirsten Dunst rehab stay was for Depression?Kirsten Dunst checked into rehab earlier this year and speculation was it had something to do with her alleged hard drinking ways. Kirsten does have a reputation for boozing it up with the tabloids and many refer to her as Kiki Drunst. Kirsten set out to dispel the rumors and told E!’s Marc Malkin that she went to rehab because she was suffering from depression.

Dunst said, “I went there for depression. It was a good six months before I decided to go away. I was struggling, and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself. I was fortunate to have the resources to do it. My friends and family thought it was a good idea, too. But I didn’t know where to go. My doctor recommended Cirque Lodge.”

Kristen went on to say, “Depression is pretty serious and should not be gossiped about.

Well Hot Momma does think depression is a big deal and should be taken seriously. But I have to wonder why then would Dunst choose Cirque Lodge, which advertises their facility as a drug and alcohol treatment center? One would think her depression could be treated quietly by a qualified psychiatrist? Just thinking out loud I guess. It also strikes me funny how much this sounds like a recent Eva Mendes story. Eva also checked herself into Utah’s Cirque Lodge rehab facility late last January here, for “personal issues. But recently there were claims that Eva was actually researching a film role.
