Britney Spears has a new boyfriend?

Rumors are circulating that Britney Spears has a new boyfriend. Britney made her first formal public appearance in months at Ed Hardy owner Christian Audigier’s 50th birthday party (post and video of Brit and Jamie here) in Los Angeles on Saturday, accompanied by her dad Jamie and a family friend Jason Trewick.
Jason according to sources, has known Britney “for years” also reportedly accompanied Britney and Jamie on their recent holiday in Costa Rica with Mel Gibson. He’s an agent for William Morris talent agency which looks after Britney.
The new ‘romance’ has supposedly received the blessing of Britney’s father, Jamie, who sees him as a “stabilizing influence”.
A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Jamie thinks Jason would be a great match for Britney. She always had a thing for bad boys but now she realizes good guys can be attractive, too.”
One person Jamie Spears apparently doesn’t think is a good influence on his daughter is Michael Jackson.
According to the same reports, Britney’s dad physically intervened in keeping the troubled ‘Thriller’ singer from speaking to her at the star-studded bash, fearing he could be a negative influence.
