David Archuleta to become 7th American Idol?

The dueling Davids brought their A-game on Tuesday’s “American Idol,” but only David Archuleta, received three glowing reviews from Simon Cowell, who called it a “knockout” performance.

Teen angel Archuleta, faced off against twenty-something rocker David Cook for the “Idol” title Tuesday night, and in Cowell’s opinion, out-performed the 25-year-old rocker. Each David performed three songs in the final performance show. Boxing announcer Michael Buffer (”Let’s get ready to rumble!”) introduced the finalists in boxing robes and gloves.

Three rounds later, Cowell made his judgement for Archuleta:

“You came out here tonight to win,” Cowell said, “and what we have witnessed is a knockout.”

Do you think the best David won the judges vote?

Well, this is not right…the results aren’t out yet, so Archuleta is not the seventh american idol, not yet, anyway. I would change the direction of this piece of news. It’s very subjective and not true.

Personally, i hope Cook wins. I prefer his originality instead of archuleta’s old school style.

Let’s wait for the results. Sometimes the people vote for one person “because” of the positive comments made about the other. All too often the winner has been the one people vote for to spite the Simon rather than because they think he is better. In my book David Archuleta is definitely the best. But let’s see hpw tje viewers vote.

Thanks for the comments. I sheepishly have to admit I wrote the article too fast this morning and forgot a key question mark etc. I wasn’t quite trying to declare Archuleta the winner yet!
