Tony Romo tired of life in fish bowl and dealing with Jessica’s dad

A close friend of Tony Romo’s from his Eastern Illinois college days at told the Chicago Sun-Times that there were two main reasons the Dallas quarterback dumped Jessica Simpson: the intense media scrutiny, and Papa Joe Simpson.

The college pal was part of the posse that hung with Romo during his hard partying in Chicago last weekend.  He said that Papa Joe who tries to manage every aspect of his daughters life, couldn’t keep his nose out of Tony’s business. The friend said that Papa Jpe started “to offer unsolicited advice to Tony on his career, endorsement opportunities and things that have nothing to do with him dating Jessica.”

The break-up wasn’t all about Papa Joe though.  Romo apparently explained he had ”really had it” with being a constant target of the paparazzi and the celebrity press in general, and feels his relationship with Jessica was distracting him from his football career.

The friend also said that Jessica’s interview with Glamour magazine also angered Romo. Jessica called Romo “her future husband,” and other on-the-record interviews she has given, saying she wants Romo to be the father to her children.

Jessica needs to learn the “rules” of dating and talk to her dad!
