Rush & Molly reports that a new book called “Hollywood Babylon: It’s Back” coming out June 1st, promises to have some pretty scandalous material. The book title is borrowed from filmmaker Kenneth Anger’s classic scandal bible, and is authored by Danforth Prince and Darwin Porter.

One part of the book is dedicated to full-frontal nude shots of celebrities such as Daniel Radcliffe, Ewan McGregor, Richard Gere, John Malcovich, Mick Jagger, James Woods, Richard Gere and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger among others. The authors also write about the reputed size of many other stars in the book, including supposedly well-endowed Johnny Depp and Sean Connery.

Another part of the book covers scandalous claims about some past Hollywood stars:

• Marilyn Monroe had an affair with Ronald Reagan.
• Marilyn had a fling with Joan Crawford, but ended it. Marilyn told her roommate at the time Shelley Winters, “She had bad breath. Besides, “she wanted to do things to me that no woman should do to another woman.”
• Elvis Presley got it on with Nick Adam
• James Dean showed a disconcerting interest in a 12-year-old boy. Elia Kazan believing the story said, “I’ve known many actors who have been twisted up in their sex lives, but never anybody as sick and unhealthy as Dean was.”
• Lucille Ball was a hooker before she was famous. Desi Arnaz had a fling with Cesar Romero.
• Cary Grant had an incestuous relationship with his stepson.
• Police believed Bette Davis killed her second husband, Arthur Farnsworth.
• Sir Winston Churchill played conductor with actor and songwriter Ivor Novello.
• Strange things happened to Judy Garland’s dead body (this in the chapter on “Fan Worship and Necrophilia”).

Wow this book is going to produce a lot of lawsuits. I’m doubting some of these stories are true (though one or two stories ring a bell), but I am ready if somebody asks me to write a book report. Maybe some of you have heard some of these stories/myths before and would care to comment?
