Did Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo breakup?

Romo partied with several of his college buddies from his alma mater Eastern Illinois over the weekend and he told them on Saturday night that he and Simpson had split up.
“They’re broken up,” according to a pal of the Dallas Cowboys quarterback. “He told us they broke up and that was that. We’re guys so we didn’t talk about it much.”
With Ashlee Simpson’s wedding to Pete Wentz supposedly taking place this weekend could the pressure of little sisters wedding cause the relationship to implode?
Perhaps foreshadowing the breakup Jessica Simpson gave Glamour magazine the following quote last month about Tony Romo:
“This article could come out and Tony and I could be broken up, but he still deserves all the accolades for bringing me back to who I am,” Simpson said.
Maybe the two were already on the rocks?
