Amy Winehouse is back in jail!

Amy Winehouse was questioned by the police yesterday on suspicion of drug offenses at a police station in East London. The Daily Mail is now reporting that she was in fact arrested and remains in custody. Scotland Yard said the charges were brought as a result of a damaging 19 minute video they received of Winehouse, showing the singer smoking crack cocaine.

Sir Bob Geldof’s daughter Peaches will be questioned by police tomorrow after she was captured on the same video buying drugs off the same dealer, it is alleged. Many other celebrities are allegedly also linked to the same drug dealers.

Last January, pictures from the video of Wino allegedly smoking crack was published by The UK Sun.

In reference to the arrest, Scotland Yard released this statement:

“Around 1pm today a 24-year-old women from the Camden area attended a London police station by arrangement and was arrested in connection with the alleged possession of a controlled drug.

She remains in custody.”

Winehouse’s life is in total free fall now.  Besides facing potential jail time for the drug charges,it could also jeopardize her chances of performing and touring in the United States in the future.

Winehouse was also released from police custody just a couple of weeks ago, after being cautioned for common assault while on a drug binge.

Her marriage is seemingly falling apart and her opportunity to record the Bond theme for A Quantum of Solace is gone after her producer Mark Ronson said last week that the star was “not ready to record any music”.
