While it’s confirmed, that Mariah Carey married Nick Cannon down in the Bahamas, there has been a lot of speculation that the secret ceremony may have been done in haste and without a prenuptial agreement.

However, Mariah apparently told a friend, who then relayed to Fox News that: “Anyone who thinks we didn’t have a prenup is smoking something!”

Mariah has learned from the past, and is now a cagey businesswoman, making informed decisions on her record career, endorsements, substantial real estate holdings, and publishing royalties. Her name is on every song and she’s apparently not about to lose it all, even in love.

The low key Bahamas ceremony was not ‘Mariah’ like though and now we hear it won’t be the only celebration. When Mariah and Nick return from their honeymoon, get ready for a big party and maybe even a second ceremony, something not so secret, for all of Mariah’s New York pals.
