Everyone is different. So keep your chin up and always keep positive. That will help. Both my parents died of lung cancer a year in a half a part. I am only 40 years old. Mom died in 6 weeks at the age of 68. Dad was sick 2 months later. He died at the age of 69. I have no kids so they were my very best friends besides my husband, But different bond. She had the "whipple" surgery 3 years ago (not sure if that's what he had), it's a MAJOR surgery! She had a rough time for about 6 months then she came back and gave us another 2 1/2 years. She definately wasn't in as good of health as Patrick was before the surgery... So I'm going to keep the positive thoughts that he's going to be just fine.... He's a fighter and he has a world full of people pulling for him too! Patrick and his whole family are wonderful people, I use to work for an insurance company that insured them years ago.... Just normal people with a great out look on life... My prayers and thoughts are with them all... DON'T GIVE UP!!! My mom just passed away from the same disease.
