Rebecca Romijn 36, and Jerry O’Connell, 34,  married since last July 14th, are wasting no time, telling friends that they’re trying for a baby. Star Magazine reports that Rebecca is excited to eat whatever she wants and get fat, while Jerry is just happy they’re really trying now and he’s already picking out baby names.

Rebecca is also said to be leaving Ugly Betty. The actress, who has portrayed male-to-female transsexual Alex/Alexis Meade since Season One, has decided not to return for a third season on the Golden Globe Award-winning series due to frustration with the show’s writers. Rebecca says she will return to the ABC series for small guest appearances.  It would have been a bit tricky writing around Rebecca getting pregnant given her role on the show.

Rebecca stars in “Lake City”, which premieres today at the Tribeca Film Festival, and is much anticipated.
