Some interesting fallout from Britney Spears appearance on ‘How I Met Your Mother’

Britney Spears is reportedly receiving all kinds of offers after her successful guest appearance on ‘How I Met Your Mother’. Brit’s latest improbable offer is definitely the one she should go for. Producers of a new revival of “A Streetcar Named Desire” in London have offered Britney the lead role of Blanche DuBois, potentially following in the footsteps of Vivien Leigh, Jessica Lange, Jessica Tandy, Tallulah Bankhead and Glenn Close.
A source close to the production told Showbiz Spy, “Britney’s been on the list for this for some time but was considered too risky until recently. Her appearance in the American TV show How I Met You Mother changed all that. She had poise, timing and real flair. We wanted her for Blanche because, even though she’s technically too young to play her, who else could embody this fallen Southern Belle so well? She’s living out the story, so to harness that on stage would be amazing for an audience to see — and cathartic for Britney, too.”
Book my ticket to London right now baby, because Brit’s southern accent saying, “I’ve always depended on the kindness of strangers,” is gonna be killer. Plus as a bonus she can hone her British accent with the native speakers as well.
Now not everyone was thrilled with Britney Spears’ appearance on ‘How I Met Your Mother’, despite getting the show its highest ever ratings. Allegedly, insiders claim her three-day stint on set of the CBS sitcom was a “pain”, and caused delays in filming due to her “erratic demeanor”.
“Her mood changes are so sudden, you don’t understand where they’re coming from,” the insider tells Star magazine.
And at one point, the pop wreck got into a loud telephone argument with younger sister Jamie Lynn, because the pregnant teen had dared call Britney’s ex, Kevin Federline. Standing in a hallway, says a source, Britney was heard shouting into the phone,
“You’re turning on me like everyone else. First Mama wanted to sleep with Kevin and now you’re calling him. And you live in a house I paid for!”
Yep, that sound like Britney. Changing moods quickly a few minutes later though, Brit starts asking people on the set if they liked puppies. That’s just small talk for Brit. If she starts asking you if you like wigs, playing dress up and driving around in a car, just run!
“It was a pain having her on the set,” the insider continued. “She made everything take so much longer because of all the drama she caused. Almost no one wants her back!”
