Poison drummer Rikki Rockett arrested on rape charge

Rikki Rockett, the drummer for 80′s hair band, Poison, was arrested Monday on a rape warrant out of Mississippi as he got off a flight from New Zealand at LAX.

Rockett born Richard Allan Ream, 46,was arrested by the Airport Division of the LAPD at the airport as he was going through customs. As the LA Daily News first reported, Rockett, a former hairdresser was transported to the L.A. County Jail, where he was booked on a felony fugitive sexual assault warrant out of Neshoba County, Mississippi. Rockett’s current whereabouts right now are not known.

Details about the warrant were not immediately available.

Rockett and frontman Bret Michaels were high school classmates, who founded Poison together. He was in New Zealand to reunite and perform with other original members of the band at Rock2Wellington, a huge heavy metal show.

Update: The arrest warrant issued for Poison drummer Rikki Rockett is the result of an incident that occurred on September 23, 2007 at a casino in Mississippi. According to police Rockett was staying, but not playing, music, at the Silver Star Hotel & Casino when he allegedly raped another female guest in his hotel room.
