Richie Sambora in likely big trouble for DUI arrest

Richie Sambora was arrested for DUI in Laguna Beach, Calif. Law enforcement told TMZ the Bon Jovi guitarist was pulled over by the Laguna Beach police just before 11:00 PM last night. Cops say they observed him driving erratically in a black Hummer and pulled him over. Sambora failed numerous field sobriety tests and was detained for DUI.
At the station, a cooperative Sambora who smelled of alcohol, opted to take a blood test rather than blow into a breathalyzer. Laguna Beach PD tells TMZ there’s no indication of drugs.

Sambora, 48, could be criminally charged with child endangerment, if he was driving drunk, because his 10-year-old daughter Ava in the car, along with another juvenile and another adult, a woman said to be his girlfriend.
Police sources say, after Sambora was busted, the cops called Heather Locklear, Ava’s mom, and said she authorized the woman in the car to drive her daughter home.
Sambora was released from custody on his own recognizance at about 4 a.m. He is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on May 7.
Last year was a difficult one for Sambora. In June 2007, Sambora entered a treatment facility for alchol abuse. He and actress Denise Richards broke up after dating for about a year. In April, his divorce from Locklear was finalized and that same month, his father died of lung cancer.
