Director Anthony Minghella has died

Anthony Minghella, Oscar-winning director of The English Patient, has passed away at the age of 54, his agent confirmed today. Some of his other great directing work includes, Mr. Wonderful, The Talented Mr. Ripley and “Cold Mountain.”
Anthony was currently the chairman of The British Film Institute and was one of the world’s most acclaimed and respected filmmakers. He was recently in Botswana filming an adaptation of Alexander McCall Smith’s novel “The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency.”
Further details of his death are unknown at this time.
