Amy Winehouse has reportedly been offered $1 million to sing at a party thrown by George Clooney and Julia Roberts.  They have offered her the money to perform at a celebrity event in the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute, New York, on May 5.
Host Giorgio Armani asked institute co-chairs George and Julia to sign up the 24-year-old Grammy winner. Reportedly, Armani wishes to use the opportunity to build a relationship with Winehouse for possible future work.

The event is one of the most high profile parties on the US social calendar. Fashion king Armani hosted a similar event at Earls Court, London, last year when Beyonce, 50 Cent, Razorlight and Bryan Ferry all performed.

A source said: “Amy was taken a back when she learned that Clooney and Roberts were after her.

“She hasn’t really taken it in – and keeps saying that her life is getting more surreal by the second.”

Amy who is said to be “seriously considering” the offer, recently picked up $1 million when she sang at the Louis Vuitton show during Paris fashion week.
