Green Bay Packers legendary quarterback, Brett Favre, the NFL’s all-time career passing leader, has decided to retire.
After flirting with retirement for the last few years, Favre will finally go out on the heels of one of the best seasons of his career. Favre leaves the game as the all-time leader in wins, passing yards, touchdowns and consecutive games started by a quarterback.
In his 17th season all with the same team he lead the Packers to the NFC Championship Game after passing for a stunning 4,155 yards this past year. Lile all great entertainers Favre seems to have that innate sense of timing for when to exit the stage, leaving you wanting to see just a little more and wishing the show would go on a little longer. Brett walks off the field and leaves professional football on a very high note. Perhaps he will return to football someday as a commentator to share his charm and insights with his fans.
