Britney Spears attempts to break the bonds that protect her

Even though so many things are going right in Britney Spears’ world (at least to the outside world) she apparently is still battling to go back to her old ways. Jamie Spears continues to fight for his right to be his daughter’s conservator, against Britney’s supposed attorney Jon Eardley. Eardley filed papers in Federal Court Friday against the conservatorship seeking to move the case to the federal level because he believes Britney’s rights are not being protected by the Los Angeles court system. The allegations go on to say that Britney’s fundamental rights to associate with the outside world are being suppressed (well yeah, but that’s a good thing). And even claims there have been verbal attacks by Jamie, and that Britney is concerned for her emotional and physical safety (low blow).
Jamie contends in papers today that Britney “does not have the capacity to retain counsel, and for this reason alone” the case must be sent back to Superior Court. For his part, attorney Jon Eardley claims he was retained by Britney on February 12 and has spoken with her on several occasions. He says the last time she attempted to call him, “the telephone was taken away from her, and the number was disconnected the next day.” I think it’s very possible Britney has retained this lawyer on the sly and is trying to free herself. But God help her and all of us if this misguided lawyer (who has racked up a 40k bill so far “protecting Britney”) succeeds. Britney needs to stay under lock and key for her own damn good.
