Lindsay Lohan has a new movie gig

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly returning to her comedic roots with a starring role in Jack Black’s new film Ye Olde Times. She’s also returned to her dark haired roots of late if you haven’t noticed.

The young Hollywood starlet, who garnered praised for her role in the cult hit Mean Girls, will join Black in his upcoming flick, which follows two rival renaissance fair troupes on the competitive circuit.

Other cast members include Matthew Lillard, David Arquette, Cary Elwes, Orlando Jones and Molly Bryant.  It hasn’t been revealed what part Lohan will play in the movie.

The film will be the actress’s second since coming out of rehab last year.  The 21-year-old star most recently has been shooting the tango-themed romance Dare to Love Me, her first feature since completing an extended stint in rehab.

Still, her biggest hit of late is her Marilyn Monroe-channeling New York Magazine nude photo spread.  New York published five additional photos of the naked star, leftovers from the shoot, on its website Wednesday. The highly publicized release drove such a high amount of traffic that it effectively froze the site.
