Twentieth Century Fox has added three more superheroes to “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, and hip-hop artist will.i.am .
Marvel Comics who created X-Men, has been eyeing the possibility of casting Reynolds as Deadpool, an assassin with self-healing powers, for some time. Should the character prove popular among moviegoers, Deadpool and Ryan could be spun off into its’ own film series.
Fox and Marvel are also excited to introduce the long awaited card-throwing character of Gambit played by “Friday Night Lights” regular Taylor Kitsch to the “X-Men” franchise.
And last but not least, Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am will play Wraith. Wraith is another test subject of the Weapon X program that created Wolverine and other mercenaries, and is a mutant who has the power to teleport. This will be will.i.am’s first film role.
Liev Schreiber, Danny Huston and Lynn Collins round out the cast as Victor Creed/Sabretooth, Col. William Stryker and Kayla Silver Fox, respectively.
Hugh Jackman reprises the starring main role of Wolverine in this “X-Men” spinoff.
