Oasis singer Liam Gallagher remarries
Oasis singer Liam Gallagher has married his long-time girlfriend, former All Saints singer Nicole Appleton in a secret Valentine’s Day ceremony.
The couple were were wed at London’s Westminster registry office – the same venue in which Liam married his first wife Patsy Kensit in 1997. it was also the venue for Sir Paul McCartney’s nuptials with first wife Linda in 1969.
Liam, 35, and 33-year-old Nicole were married in front of less than a dozen guests at the private ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by Nicole’s sister Natalie and her husband Liam Howlett of the Prodigy.
Liam and Nicole’s seven-year-old son Gene was also there, as was son, Lennon, 8, from Gallagher’s marriage to Kensit. It wasn’t reported whether daughter, Molly, 9, from Liam’s relationship with singer Lisa Moorish attended.
The wedding party reportedly celebrated at Marylebone’s five-star Landmark Hotel.
Liam and Nicole, have been together for nearly eight years,and were rumoured to be planning a wedding in recent months, with a number of spoof ‘weddings’ leaked to confuse the tabloid press.
Nicole is widely credited with calming down Gallagher’s once chaotic life. She had also increased speculation about the couple’s relationship by admitted her desire to marry 35-year-old Liam.
“Marriage is important to me and I love the idea of being married,” she said last year.
Liam’s brother Noel, 40, reportedly remaining in Los Angeles to work on the new Oasis album. Liam, will return to LA next week to join his brother.
