Gary Coleman’s shaky secret marriage to first girlfriend

Former child star Gary Coleman - who’s now 40 told the TV show “Inside Edition, he secretly married Shannon Price, on Aug. 28, her 22nd birthday. Coleman, 40, and Price, 22, met on the set of “Stop Right There.” They decided to keep their marriage a secret because Shannon didn’t want to be known as Gary Coleman’s wife. But the newlyweds already seem to have some trouble in paradise. Coleman says,
“We may go a week and not speak to each other,”
Shannon, who is 5′7″ says Coleman’s height, 4′8″ wasn’t a factor. “He was ten feet tall to me because he was sweet and I really liked his personality. That doesn’t really matter to me.”
However Shannon does have other issues with Gary:
“He lets his anger conquer him sometimes. … He throws things around, and sometimes he throws it in my direction.”
She adds, “I don’t like the violence.”
Price says she has called the police already several times.
“He actually got a disorderly conduct ticket one time because we had gotten into an argument, just a minor argument in Provo. The guy gave him a ticket and he freaked out and he was on six months probation…He had to go take an anger management course”.
As well as an apparent bad temper, Coleman is also new to relationships.
The “Diff’rent Strokes” star admits that this is his first-time-ever romantic relationship.
“I never got the opportunity to be romantic or feel romantic with anyone,” he says. “I wasn’t saving myself, she just happened to be the one.”
Marrying your first girlfriend has it’s challenges sometimes, like are you mature enough yet, even when your 40 years old like Gary Coleman.
