Jamie Spears flexes strengthened conservatorship powers

The after effects of the court hearing Thursday which seemingly strenghtened the powers of Jamie Spears as conservator are being felt.
Britney Spears’ business manager Howard Grossman, is close to being fired and her divorce attorney has asked the court for permission to drop her as a client.

Court papers show that Grossman was served Thursday with orders to surrender “all documents, records and assets relating to Britney Spears.”

“The only thing I will say is my reputation speaks for itself,” Grossman says. “I couldn’t tell you why they chose this path.”

Also, divorce lawyer Sorrell Trope has filed papers Friday (again) asking permission to be released as Spears’s attorney in her custody battle with Kevin Federline.

A hearing will be held on the matter on March 10. The high-profile divorce attorney had filed similar papers several weeks ago, but retracted them.

“We filed paper asking to be relieved, and hopefully they will find someone to replace us,” Trope said. “I’m not at liberty to say more at this time.”

This could be the first step in the process to bring back Spears family fave Laura Wasser.

Peace reigns in the Spears Mansion, hair flourishes?

It’s been all quiet on the Western front for about 2 days since Britney initially was released from the hospital and the ensuing chaos that followed. And Brit’s trying perhaps to get rid of that awful weave. Brit called up a celebrity hairstylist Kim Vo, to help her achieve a “longer and sexy” hairstyle. The stylist informed Brit to put the wigs away: “This is crazy. You don’t want to be crazy.” We like this guy already.

Other good and bad signs

Brit went out to the Millennium Dance Studio in West Hollywood today (pic to the right).  Rumor has it she starts shooting her new video tomorrow.  That’s a good thing! But she showed  up in her famous ripped up fishnets and her hair that was supposedly styled by Kim Vo at least in this pic and others I have seen, looks not so good.  Mentally healthy people groom.

Britney’s plight may improve other celebrities lives

A Los Angeles politician has called for “personal safety zones” to be placed around celebrities like Spears to protect them from paparazzi.

Councilman Dennis Zine has asked the city’s attorney to draw up laws to protect targeted celebrities, as well as pedestrians and drivers, who may be put in danger by a ‘swarm’ of photographers and cameramen.
