Russell Crowe looking a little worse for wear after shooting new movie

Russell Crowe raised some eyebrows when he stepped out in LA with a thick bandage wrapped around his right hand as he walked his dog.

Notorious for his fiery temper, onlookers couldn’t help but wonder just who – or what – might have had the misfortune of being at the receiving end of his right hook.  Crowe looks to also have some abrasions on the side of his forehead  as well.

However, the Oscar-winning actor had just wrapped filming on his new movie State Of Play, and it may simply be part of his costume or an injury during a stunt on set.

Crowe jumped into the lead role of State Of Play, after Brad Pitt pulled out of the film, which is based on the BBC mini series by the same name.

The plot revolves around a team of investigative reporters who work alongside a police detective to try to solve the murder of a congressman’s mistress
