Britney Spears got her stay at the UCLA Medical Center psychiatric ward extended Sunday, as doctors decided to keep her hospitalized an additional 14 days. Likely only her psychiatrist would’ve had the authority to request the involuntary stay. However, it’s possible that Britney could be out earlier if she legally demands to be released or her doctor deems her well enough for outpatient treatment. For the time being at least, the late night drives around LA are going to be postponed a little bit longer.
I hate them most of the time
During one of Britney’s many mood swings triggered of course by her mental illness she requested to see her parents on Sunday. Jamie and Lynne happily obliged and visited their daughter at her bedside. However when a lawyer for Trope and Trope (Brit’s divorce/custody attorneys) went to UCLA to see Britney the visit was quicky cut short. One of the staff doctors asked the attorney to leave, because the co-conservators, Jamie and/or his lawyer objected to the visit. This was perhaps the first gunshot and round one in a forthcoming battle.
Today’s conservatorship hearing
While today’s conservatorship hearing has given time for the Commissioner to consider all the facts to decide whether Jamie Spears should have more enduring status. But there will be new factors for the Commissioner to consider. Lawyers for Britney will try and convince the Commissioner that Britney “feels hatred” toward her dad, doesn’t trust him and wants him removed as co-conservator. Reportedly the Trope firm will not object to a conservatorship for Britney, but they’ll ask that a different conservator be appointed. To do this they’re likely going to need testimonies from associates of Britney to prove that this hatred is long standing and beyond the span of her mental incapacity.
And what about Sam Lufti?
Allegedly Sam Lutfi was voluntarily questioned yesterday by the LAPD about the supposed burglary that took place at Britney Spears’ home the day after she was admitted to the psych ward. Britney has had no contact with Sam since her dad became conservator on Friday. If Jamie should lose the conservator powers today you can bet ‘Sammy will be back in town’ so to speak.

That line really frightens me. She needs to stay locked up!
