The battle for conservatorship

Not much changed after more court hearings today. Jamie Spears remains the co-conservator of his daughters’ estate with Andrew Wallet. The law firm of Trope and Trope was trying to get the conservators changed. They sent another lawyer, Adam Streisand to represent Britney in their stead.  Streisand told the judge, Britney was estranged from her father Jamie and was ‘distressed’ at the news he was controlling her affairs.  Daddy Spears and Mr. Wallet retaliated, asking The Commish if they could fire Brit’s lawyers. The Commish told them they could not fire them. The Commish did keep  Daddy Spears and Mr. Wallet as the conservators, until February 14th.

Britney not competent to choose a lawyer or anything else

The Commissioner did say that Adam Streisand had no legal basis for claiming he’s Britney’s new lawyer. A court-appointed lawyer told the Commissioner he visited Britney yesterday in the hospital. He concluded that Brit is not currently competent enough to understand the nature of the current legal proceedings, nor does she appreciate the impact that it has on her life. The conclusion, Britney lacks capacity to retain a lawyer (let alone care for herself).

Sam Lufti can run but he can’t phone home

The restraining order against Sam Lutfi stays in place. He can’t have any contact with her. NONE! Sam has apparently dodged the restraining order. They tried to deliver it to him, but they haven’t been able to. He’s also been calling Brit, but now he can’t.

Train wrecks are not fiscally responsible

Apparently, Brit’s estate is currently worth $40 million. She has also filed a $17 million tax audit against Jive to get more money. Last year, Brit was said to be worth $100 million. That’s a lot of money basically pissed away!
