Paula Abdul’s Lip-Syncin’ good performance at the Super Bowl!

Paula Abdul ‘s pre-taped performance aired during the Super Bowl pre-show. It was pretty much what you would expect from Paula. She visibly lip-synched and danced around circa 1992. It seemed they also intentionally kept the camera shots far enough away so you couldn’t get a real close look at her. Abdul says an emergency plane landing that caused her injury in 1992 – she said “I had four plates and fourteen cervical spinal surgeries.” It was a key reason why she abandoned her multiplatinum singing career (she hasn’t released a new album since 1995). Fellow idol judge Randy Jackson joined the now 45-year-old Abdul on stage – playing bass in her latest song, Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow.
