The Britney Spears’ Ballet
Britney’s recent fall from grace has become the subject of a carefully choreographed 14-minute dance, titled Meltdown (I guess NutCracker was already taken). The ballet sequence performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall was put together by choreographer Hubert Essakow for the Rambert Dance Company, one of Britain’s leading modern dance companies.
The show portrays Spears’ constant hounding by the paparazzi, including the moment she shaved off her blonde hair in February 2007. The production culminated in Spears’ character being carried off stage on a stretcher - just like the singer herself was last month following her three-hour stand off with emergency services outside her Beverly Hills home.
Music for the piece is by Richard Thomas, who fittingly enough worked on “Jerry Springer — The Opera”, a musical based on the US television show host. The ballet will be performed Friday as part of the Rambert’s new season of choreography at London’s Southbank Centre. No joke!

Britney’s been dropped as the host of a lavish Beverly Hills St. Valentine’s Day gift party because organizers fear she’s too ill to attend. Danish businessman Claus Hjelmbak asked the singer to host the swanky party at the lavish Scandinavian Style Mansion last month (Jan08) and was delighted when Spears agreed. Hjelmbak set up and was at Spears’ side during an early morning shopping spree with Sam Lutfi at the Kitson boutque last month here, when Brit was dressed in the torn fishnets and otherwise went ‘commando’. I guess Hjelmbak thought Brit was fit to host the party then but now that Spears is currently in a hospital on a 72-hour psychiatric hold, he says:
“I personally feel that the most important thing for her now is to focus on her health and get the help she needs and deserves.”
Hjelmbak goes on to say:
“Britney is not being fired, nor is she deemed unfit for the role as a host. “I have decided to give some of the proceeds from the sales of VIP passes to a charity of Britney Spears’ choice.

According to TMZ, Britney Spears wasn’t too thrilled with the news that her parents were back in control of her screwed up life.
Apparently Britney made a couple of phone calls and in her freakish British accent, screamed (about her parents), “I’m so sick of all of this they can have the goddamn house and stick it up their f**king asses. Actually, no they can’t.”
At times screaming at the top of her lungs:
“Nobody’s taking my house. Who is my family?”
Seriously though how does TMZ come up with this stuff, hidden microphones, tapped telephones, or does Sam Lufti or someone like that work for them? Hmm. Anyway at one point (allegedly) Britney boldy proclaimed that she would go to court to fight them. She is also under the impression she’s getting out of the hospital tonight. Well that’s why she’s in a psych ward. Rest and get well Britney. You’re where you need to be right now.
