Spice Girls cut tour short

 

It was fun while it lasted but perhaps it’s time now to say goodbye. The Spice Girls have cancelled their world tour after just two months of performances amid reports of poor ticket sales.

The tour will now end in Toronto on February 26th, with planned concerts in Sydney, Beijing, Cape Town and Buenos Aires to be cancelled, according to a statement from the group.

Some of the UK papers are looking for blame, and are saying that one or both the Mel’s wanted out.

Officially though, a spokesman for the girls said: “Sadly the tour needs to come to an end by the end of February due to family and personal commitments for Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria.
