Amy Winehouse pays the piper to hopefully ‘sing’ the tune

Published on February 1, 2008 at 7:50 AM

Amy Winehouse was moved from her Capio Nightingale rehab clinic to spend a night in a hospital Wednesday night, to receive an intravenous drip. Winehouse has been suffering “horrific” withdrawal symptoms and her father Mitch said it was needed “to rehydrate her after she’d been vomiting” as part of her treatment for drug addiction. She has now been returned to the rehab clinic where she continues to go “Cold Turkey” from what is said to be an addiction to Crack, which is notoriously difficult to get off of.
Part of Amy’s motivation to get clean is to appear on the Grammy awards. Winehouse is nominated in six categories for the Grammy Awards, which take place in Los Angeles on February 10, but her father said he did not think she was ready:

He said: “I’m not sure the Grammys are going to happen. I don’t want her to go, it might be a bit too soon for her. She’s not well – that’s why she’s in rehab.”
