Actress Julie Christie finally marries (sort of)

Oscar nominated British actress Julie Christie, isn’t the marrying type, it actually goes against her hippie ideals. But at the age of 66, the perennial bachelorette has suddenly compromised with convention and secretly wed her partner of 28 years, journalist Duncan Campbell. The pair, held the ceremony in India two months ago but the news has just come to light when Julie finally told her only brother Clive Christie the surprising news. However no details of the wedding are known so the marriage might not be officially recognized in Britain, depending on if it occurred in a register’s office. If however it was strictly a religious ceremony would have no legal effect. That would be a good compromise with convention and Julie’s ideals.
