Marie Osmond has announced she will have her own talk show next year. In a deal with syndicator Program Partners, daytime talk show “Marie,” is set to launch in fall 2009.  

Program Partners becomes the first distributor to officially announce programming for fall 2009. Other series rumored to be in the pipeline include “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” from Twentieth and “Power of 10″ from Sony.

Meanwhile Marie, who was a fan favorite in last seasons “Dancing With the Stars,” will return to center stage again. Her talk show theme will ‘revolve around women’ this time.

Osmond, 48, said: “I’ve always wanted to do a show for women that would offer them a safe place to have some fun and get vital information. “‘Marie’ will truly reflect my personality - funny, sometimes serious and never predictable.” 

Ms. Osmond first hit the airwaves in 1976 in prime-time series “Donny & Marie.” She returned to television first in the 1995 ABC sitcom “Maybe This Time” and then with brother Donny in 1998 to co-host “Donny and Marie,” a talk/entertainment show from Sony that lasted two seasons.
