Actor Allan Melvin has died

Allan Melvin, 84, a character actor, perhaps best known for his role on “The Brady Bunch,” died of cancer on Thursday at his home in Brentwood, Calif.
The seasoned actor played Sam the Butcher, the boyfriend of Alice the maid, on The Brady Bunch. He also played sidekick in popular TV comedies, including Archie Bunker’s friend Barney Hefner on “All in the Family,” and Sgt. Bilko’s right hand man Cpl. Henshaw on the “Phil Silvers Show.
He was cool too and he played on andy gifith too minny more shows..
