Courtney Love trying to make Kurt Cobain film?

Courtney Love is reportedly pursuing Scarlett Johansson to portray her character in a new movie ‘Heavier Than Heaven’ about life with her tragic grunge rocker husband, Kurt Cobain.

Kurt Cobain was a music pioneer and labeled a “spokesman” for Generation X. Cobain struggled with drug addiction and the media pressures surrounding him and his wife, Courtney Love that ended in Kurt’s tragic suicide in 1994.
Heavier Than Heaven is the original name of a 2001 biography of musician Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of the grunge rock band Nirvana, written by Charles R. Cross. The book was criticized as being a collaboration between Love and Cross by such friends as Everett True, who derided the book as being inaccurate, omissive, and highly biased, calling it “the Courtney-sanctioned version of history.
Love has allegedly acquired the rights to Heavier Than Heaven, with several studios engaged in discussions with Love to create a film adaptation of Cobain’s biography.

Courtney is said to be the film’s executive producer,and supposedly knows and admires Scarlett Johansson.

Supposedly Courtney has also lined up Oscar-nominated Ryan Gosling to play husband Kurt.

The movie is still considered a ‘project’ until a studio actually commits to making the film.  In many ways I hope this movie doesn’t happen, as I am not interested in seeing Courtney Love’s interpretation of Kurt’s life.  I think we have had too much of that already.
