French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s fiance Carla Bruni Pregnant

The Daily Mail is reporting that French President Nicolas Sarkozy fiance Carla Bruni is pregnant. The retired supermodel turned pop singer met Nicolas one month after the president divorced his ex-wife Cecilia. Carli and Nicolas aren’t wasting any time with their whirlwind romance. They have dated a grand total of two months, and
became engaged earlier this month with a wedding said to be planned for February 9.  And now a baby is said to be on the way. Instant family.

Bruni’s pregnancy has been confirmed on French website 20minutes.fr by their reporter Allain Jules. He received his information from a source at an American Hospital in the Paris suburb of Neuilly. Bruni reportedly had an ultrasound there last week.

Carla Bruni has had several notable lovers, including Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger and Donald Trump. She has a reputation for needing to be indulged and entertained.

Before this new romance blossomed the newly elected Sarkozy was shattered by Cecilia’s decision to leave him weeks into his presidency. He worshipped her and after their divorce in October, Sarkozy was secretly admitted to a hospital, suffering from a stress-related throat abscess and a fever. He begged his then wife to visit him and she came but would not ultimately return to her husband. She is believed instead to have gone off with Moroccan-born PR executive Richard Attias an old flame of her’s.

Cecillia who was married to Sarkozy for 12 years, hooked up with French journalist Anna Bitton and began a tell-all biography, in which she was apparently very vocal about her ex-husband’s transgressions and those around him. Cecilia is said to now be trying to prevent the book from being published on the basis that the conversations she had with Bitton were private and, she says, not for publication.  

So the French people are faced with an embarrassing farce being played out on the grandest of stages, and right before their eyes. The ex-model and ex-wife damns the ex-model soon-to-be new wife while the president rushes around like a love-sick teenager who perhaps has gotten his fiance pregnant.
