Jessica Biel takes ‘Easy Virtue’ lead role

Jessica Biel has landed the lead role in British romantic comedy Easy Virtue, which is based on the Noel Coward play.  The actress will play an American divorcee, who moves to the South of France and marries young wealthy Englishman John Whittaker (Ben Barnes) on the spur of the moment.  The couple who barely knew each other before getting married, then have to return to the UK and confront their parents with the news. Easy Virtue is based on Coward’s 1924 three-act play and was first adapted for film by Alfred Hitchcock in the 1928 silent movie of the same name.  The movie is due to start shooting next week in London.
