Have Sophie Monk and Benji Madden split up?

Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden and Australian actress Sophie Monk are rumored to have broken up. Sophie has returned to Aussie solo, almost a year to the day since the Good Charlotte guitarist proposed.
While his brother Joel has been seen often with Nicole Richie since the group returned to Los Angeles, by comparison Madden and Monk have slipped off the radar together entirely.
Speculation the couple were having problems first surfaced when Monk cancelled a scheduled appearance at Carols by Candlelight, citing “family reasons”.
Yesterday, Monk’s father was reluctant to comment on his daughter’s single status, when contacted at the family’s Gold Coast home by our Brisbane colleagues.
“There’s nothing to say and I’m best to say nothing. You’re best to talk to her manager,” her dad Andrew said.
Update: In response to recent rumors that the couple had broken up, Good Charlotte’s rep told Us Magazine: “Benji Madden and Sophie Monk are together and very happy.”
