Former O.C. star, Mischa Barton, has reportedly ducked out of co-hosting the opening of a Las Vegas nightclub, just days after she was arrested for driving under the influence.
The actress was pulled over by West Hollywood cops in the early hours on Thursday when she was spotted straddling two lanes of traffic. Barton was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, but was also booked for possession of narcotics and driving with a suspended license. Police source reportedly have said that Mischa blew a .12 on her breathalyzer, and admitted to smoking pot earlier on the day of her arrest.

Following her arrest, Barton has cancelled an appearance at the opening of Cathouse at the Luxor hotel on Saturday night (Dec 29).
A source tells PageSix, “Mischa can’t give interviews on the red carpet or deal with the press right now, so they told her she can’t do the event.” Barton is currently free on $10,000 bail.

Between shopping trips, Lindsay Lohan and Hayden Panettiere attend the award ceremony on the second day of the 12th Annual Capri Hollywood International Film Festival at the “Certosa di San Giacomo” on December 28, 2007 in Capri, Italy.  Lindsay is to be honored for contribution to the film industry at the festival in Italy on Sunday (30Dec07).
Festival organiser Pascal Vicedomini says, “It is indeed an honour to have Lindsay Lohan at Capri, Hollywood.
“We are delighted to recognise her talent as a performing artist, as well as her position as an icon in the world of entertainment.” Oscar winners Vanessa Redgrave, Faye Dunaway, Mira Sorvino and Geoffrey Rush are just some of the previous recipients of the honor.  Somehow, I don’t see Lindsay in the same class as these other actors yet, but that’s just me.

Shock rocker Marilyn Manson and former wife Dita Von Teese will be putting their failed marriage behind them to start afresh in 2008, after their divorce was made official this week.
Dita, a burlesque dancer filed for divorce last December,  just 12 months after she wed Manson, citing irreconcilable differences.
Their marriage was legally ended on Thursday Dec 27), and the former couple have been “restored to the status of single persons”, according to papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Dear Marilyn, is now perhaps free to marry his current sweetie, 20-year-old actress Evan Rachel Wood? Yikes!

David Letterman’s production company yesterday became the first to cut a deal with the striking Writers Guild of America, enabling “Late Show With David Letterman” and “Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson” to return to the air on Jan. 2 with their writing staffs.

Letterman’s Worldwide Pants, which owns both shows, worked out the agreement just days before late-night talk shows will resume after an eight-week hiatus.

“I am grateful to the WGA for granting us this agreement,” Letterman said in a statement. “We’re happy to be going back to work, and particularly pleased to be doing it with our writers.”

The agreement gives huge leverage to Letterman and CBS, which will now have the only late-night shows with material written by professional writers. In addition, Letterman and Ferguson will be the only shows that can regularly attract big-name celebrities without fear of a picket line.

Almost all of the talk shows have said they will return Wednesday, but without writers. “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report” on Comedy Central will return the following Monday, Jan. 7.

Paul McCartney and Ozzy Osbourne are supposedly set to perform together at the 2008 Brit Awards.  If Stevie and Paul were ‘Ebony and Ivory’ this pairing could be coined ‘Heaven and Hell’? 

Performing with Sir Paul is Ozzy’s lifelong dream. Ozzy, is a self-confessed Beatles fan and has raved:
“McCartney’s a genius. The Beatles were the greatest band ever.

According to British newspaper The Sun, the pair will perform Paul’s classic Bond theme Live And Let Die. And if it does come off it will all be down to Ozzy’s music manager and wife Sharon.

Sharon, a judge on the X Factor UK tv show, used her influence and the couple’s gig as awards hosts at the Brit Awards to set up the once in a lifetime opportunity for her 59-year-old husband.

She said: “They go together really well. It will be amazing.”

Former Beatle Paul is to be presented with an Outstanding Contribution To Music award at the ceremony, being held at London’s Earls Court on February 20.

A show insider reckons the performance, as odd as it may seem, will go down as one of the most memorable in history.
“It was her idea for a duet between Ozzy and Sir Paul. If it happens, it will be unmissable.”

Eduardo asked his sisters to be in his video to help launch his career around the world according to The Sun. Mission accomplished, and the song is actually pretty good! Playing sexy translators, Penelope and Monica dub scenes from a lesbian porn film into Spanish and watching the saucy footage gets them in the mood for some similar naughty behaviour. This video would be typical rock n’ roll fare but with the Cruz sisters playing the models/bimbos in the shoot it’s getting special attention.

Nicole Kidman and husband of 18 months Keith Urban, are expecting their first baby, according to the UK newspaper, The Daily Mail. The expected arrival date has not yet been revealed.

Reportedly the Oscar-winning actress and  the country and western singer she calls the “love of my life”, broke the news to their families over the Christmas holiday.

This will be Nicoles first natural birth child, she adopted Isabella, 14, and twelve-year-old Conor during her first marriage to Tom Cruise.

Shortly after they split, she revealed that she had suffered an ectopic pregnanacy and a miscarriage during the marriage.

Nicole spent her Christmas holiday in Syndey, after finshing work on Baz Lurhmann’s epic romantic adventure film “Australia” on December 21.

She is due to film The Reader with Ralph Fiennes and British director Stephen Daldry in Berlin next month, but has no more cinema work planned after that.
 
The 40-year-old Australian star had already spoken of “winding down” her film-making activities as much as possible next year.

Earlier this month the actress also dismissed the idea of returning to the stage next year.

“It wouldn’t fit in with the logistics and dynamics of my family”, she said - a remark given extra meaning by the news of her pregnancy.

Bud Bundy is back on the market.  Child star David Faustino now 33, of “Married with Children” fame has finalized his divorce from his wife of three years, Andrea Elmer. The couple met in 1999, and were hitched at the Little Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas in 2004.

The actor, most famous for playing Bud Bundy on the FOX sitcom, married his wife ANDREA in January 2004.  The couple separated May 1, 2006 and the court granted the dissolution on the grounds of “irreconcilable differences.” According to court papers the couple has “duly executed a Marital Settlement Agreement”,  meaning Bud had to pay out some loot to get his divorce.
