Miley Cyrus sleepover photo controversy
Like many 15 year old’s Miley Cyrus had a sleepover recently. But unlike most fifteen year old Miley is a teen sensation, who stars in the wildly popular Hannah Montana TV show. And when you take goofy and perhaps risque pictures with your girl friend you better guard them with your life. Because otherwise those pictures quickly end up on the Internet and everyone goes crazy. Miley says in explaining the most talked about picture, where at first glance they appear to be kissing: that what they were really doing was exchanging a piece of candy. She doesn’t think it’s a big deal but rather what happens at sleepovers. Chalk it up then to two teen girls being goofy and having some laughs? Unfortunately for Miley she has now gotten another bad taste of what it’s like being a teen celebrity under the microscope. For her sake I hope she can still enjoy being a kid.

I can’t possibly read all the crap that makes up these comments because it’s like getting thrown into a pit of 12 year olds arguing ‘logic’ back and forth to each other—or 3rd graders “SHHHHHHHUUUSHHH!”ing each other loudly back and forth ad nausium because they hear the teacher coming back to the classroom and they don’t wanna get in trouble. Only problem is the logic both viscious pack of juveniles employ is about as lame as they think being gay is. The 3rd grade class will be louder by the time the teacher gets to the door than they would have had they not wasted their time and breath trying to shut each other up, and the 12 year old ‘social-experts’ on here (btw you guys might not wanna admit if you do happen to be like a day over no more than somewhere in the 13 year range or ish—you’ll just come off more ignorant) will still have to cope with the fact that many people they know–friends, family, celebs they’ve put on an anti-gay pedestal, aquaintances, and so on, will in fact turn out to be gay (or well they most likely already are, they just don’t know it, don’t want to accept it, or they are keeping it secret for fear of how you’ll react…since they’ve probably already gotten a taste of the vast immaturaty that is your reaction) or bisexual.
So this mouthful being said, I’d like to point out that Miley has taken A LOT of pictures that have a ‘lesbian vibe’ or whatever you wanna call it. In fact, I can’t seem to find any that have a vibe of ‘heterosexual’ that even comes close to matching the first mentioned vibe. Am I implying Miley is lesbian? No, but she doesn’t really seem to be fighting to counter the vibe too badly. She has pics she and/or friends took, pics that supposedly were snapped by a paparazzi who apparantly knew what he/she was gonna find because no one really followed Miley at the time as far as I recall, and then all these crazy YouTube videos her and Mandy churn out that seem to keep laying the lesbian vibe on thicker each time, despite the ‘gay’ comments they are not by any means missing despite what people want to believe. They KNOW people think those things, and yet they DON”T SEEM TO GIVE A S***.

I believe Disney does the executive work. A 15 year old working for Disney does not have much say over who tours on the same ticket as her. That’s all in what Disney sees as pulling in the most ticket sales and therefore the most money. Not that this is a bad thing, but they obviously did TOO well a job predicting fan support of a Miley-Jonas pairing. They didn’t even have to fake anything to a huge degree…the fans decided they thought Miley and Nick were TOTALLY CUUUUTE together and Disney just let you believe that. Of course, didn’t Nick make specualtion more intese or something by kinda implying they were an item in some sorta way? or am I mistaken. I really didn’t keep close tabs on that subject…it seemed too must like a media pairing to me from the get go. I just remember him kinda hinting they were and Miley saying they weren’t…it made for great interaction from and amongst the fans though. Total bullseye for the Hannah Montana AND Jonas camps…successful merging of the fanbase as well as boosting Jonas Brother visibilty and support.
Another FYI: The Joni have a suspisious amount of songs that I recognize as original material from the band “BUSTED” back in ’03. They were from the UK…look their songs up…you might be shockingly surprised. They were the biggest thing in Britian half a decade ago or so.
